What Do I Need to Use the Site?
All you need to use the site is a valid email address and paypal account.
PLEASE NOTE: make sure the password you use is one that you want and can remember. (See 'How Do I Change My Password)
Registration is a 2 step process.
How do I Register on a Computer?
First go to www.bargainhunterauctions.com and in the top right corner you will see a Register Now button, click it.
It will then take you to a page where it asks for your email. Enter your email and continue. An email will be sent to your email address where you will need to verify by clicking on the link in the email. This just verifies the email is real and not spam. This will take you through the rest of the registration process by asking for a

How do I register on a mobile phone?

How do I change my Password?
Under Member Login, click Forgot Password. A new password will be sent to your email.
When a Forgot Password is used, passwords are randomly generated by the program and does not allow users to change password to a 'custom password'. If you want 'Custom Password' and not a randomly generated one, please make sure when you first register, the password you choose is what you want and easily remembered. The only way to change to a 'Custom Password' would be to delete your account, start over and enter your own password upon sign up. BUT doing this will also delete any auctions, info, purchases, etc you have under your account so please make sure you choose a password that you want. If you want to start over, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and your account will be deleted so you can start again.
How do I list an Auction Item?
In the member area on the right side menu, choose Add an Item. Choose the type of auction you want either a Simple Auction or Dutch Auction. Enter the information about your item, bid increments, reserve price, add pictures (up to 4 free) and post.
Simple Auction: this is the most common auction where bidders bid up your item – a buyer with the highest bid wins the auction. A reserve price can be added and bid increments can be changed. Simple auction is the only option available at the moment.
Dutch Auction: A Dutch auction is one of several kinds of auctions. Most commonly, it means an auction in which the auctioneer begins with a high asking, and lowers it until some participant accepts the price, or it reaches a predetermined reserve price. Fixed Auction: is a type of online auction selling format a seller would use if he or she wants to sell items at a set price on the auction Web site. There are no bids placed on a Fixed Price style listing, as the price remains constant. Available soon...
Reverse Auction: Type of auction in which several sellers offer their items for bidding, and compete for the price which a buyer will accept. The buyer usually has the option to accept any bid or reject all. Bid-based construction or supply contracts are examples of reverse auction. Also called business to consumer auction. What is Free?
Auctions such as simple auction, dutch auction, fixed auction, reverse auction. Each auction item is allowed up to 4 pictures free. There are no limits on number of items you can auction.
Are There Any Fees?
Www.bargainhunterauctions.com does not charge buyer fees, commissions or auction listing fees.

Business can post auctions but BUSINESS POSTINGS ARE PAID. Choose Posting Package to choose a Business Package for you.
How Long Can I List My Auction Item?
Auctions can be listed anywhere from 1 day to 21 days and can be renewed if item does not sell.
Payment for items on bargainhunterauctions.com are made via paypal directly to the seller. When you list an item for Auction, your paypal ID is asked for.
Is this Site Self Serve?
This site is currently self serve. Full Service postings are coming soon.
Do you offer Full Service Auctions?

Can Items Be Shipped?
Buyers would need to contact the seller about shipping items.
My Pictures Aren't Uploading, Why Not?
Maximum picture size should be no bigger than 1mb. Anything larger will be rejected. This is so large pictures don't take up all the bandwidth and slow down the site. Also pics for the internet can be 72dpi as compared to 350 dpi for printing. You will need to scale your picture to a smaller size. Or retake the picture and adjust the file size on your camera before you retake. Some phones and cameras take huge pictures ie: 8mb per picture. Somewhere in your camera settings you should be able to change this. If you aren't sure the size of your picture, on your computer if you right click your picture and choose properties it should tell the file size of your picture.
Why is there A $50 Credit in My Account?
The $50 credit is given to all registered members. The auctions are free to place but if you want to add your item to the home page, use more than 4 pictures, make your item Featured, Gallery, Highlighted etc there is a small fee for these extras. These features are optional and you can choose which ones you want to use when you list your item. So if you want to make your item stand out a little more, you can use the $50 credit. Once the credit is used up and you still want to use the extra features, you will need to add money to your account but please note the auctions are FREE to place. Just the extra features have the small fee. So if you place an auction item with no extras it will cost you $0.00
** FIREARMS **
We have a firearms heading and do not know of any laws prohibiting the sale of firearms online. Sellers must be licensed to possess firearms and buyers must be licensed to buy firearms. Sellers must state PAL required to purchase. It is up to the buyer/seller to do their due diligence when buying or selling anything online.

Posting Package: Paid options for business to post items ie: Store, Listing Multiple Items
Add and Item: this is where you would list an item for auction, add a description, price, starting bid, bid increments, reserve price, number of days you want the auction to run, add pictures and any 'extras' you wish .
Post Multiple Items: an option to place more than one item for auction at one time. Follow the directions for posting multiple items.
Update Profile: this is where you would change your user name
Edit Your Store: shows items in your store that you can edit. Must pay for Store.
My Account: this shows you when you posted items & your account balance. You can also search between dates
My Items: this shows you a list of all your items that are currently listed, items that have been cancelled & items that have ended. It also gives you the option to add extra features to currently listed items, add extra descriptions, re-list, cancel or extend your auction item.
My Uploaded Items: will show your multiple item listings
My Bids: shows your bidding history
My Purchases: shows auctions you have successfully won
My Store: shows items in your store if you have paid for a Store
My Feedback: shows feedback of transactions selling & buying – positive, negative, neutral
Messages: this would be where you would contact the buyer/seller and communicate messages
Contact List: this is where you can add a contact to your list for future communication
Block List: this is where you can block a contact from messaging you
Favourite List: add items that you like or want to watch
Log Out: log out of your account
